Worship

To strengthen your faith, you must unite with others in worship. Worship is for God, but it also has benefits for you.

Bishop Redfern II
Ecumenical Churches of Christ Worldwide

Fellowship

Real fellowship is so much more than just showing up to church. It involves experiencing life together with others through honest sharing, practical serving, sacrificial giving, and more.

Discipleship

Discipleship is the process of becoming like Christ, and it always begins with a decision: “'Follow me and be my disciple,' Jesus said to him.

Ministry

Ministry is living a life that serves others and God, instead of only thinking about ourselves. Choose to discover how God shaped you, and how you can serve.

Evangelism

Evangelism is the announcement, proclamation, and/or preaching of the gospel (1 Corinthians 15:1-4), the good news of and about Jesus Christ.

Welcome to The Ecumenical Church Worldwide

We’re glad you’ve found our churches! We hope you’ll find us to be an encouraging, friendly group of people. While we don’t make any claims to be perfect, we are regularly discovering truths that are changing us individually and enriching our lives as a Worldwide church community.

In fact, it’s so good that we think it’s worth sharing!

The people in our congregations are like you—trying to find the time and energy to fit everything in each week and keep life in balance. To do that we’re convinced that we need wisdom and love beyond our own limited capacities. That’s why we set aside time every week to worship God and learn from his Book, the Bible. In our Bible study time and worship services both young and old learn principles for successful living that work not only on Sundays, but every other day of the week.

Our congregations are in Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi, Malawi, DR Congo, Tanzania, Zambia, Mozambique, Sudan, Ethiopia, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Jamaica and the United States of America.

Another source of strength and joy is the support that we give each other. Lots of encouragement comes from being with people from a variety of backgrounds and interests who care about each other! How helpful it is to listen to the wisdom of older Christians and enjoy the exuberance of our children. And what a comfort to receive encouragement and support from church friends in time of crisis.

As we worship God, learn from the Bible, and pray for one another, we develop a common bond. Families coming to church together are strengthened in their commitment to God and as well as to each other. And we’re finding new answers to individual and family needs.

License and Ordination

Generally called the “Certificate of License for the Gospel Ministry” or the “License to Preach” it is an initial step in the path to full ordination. A License is a way for the local church to give recognition, authorization and affirmation of a person’s gifts and skills for ministry. Ordination is the final step and it authorizes the minister to perform church rites and sacraments, such as baptisms, legal marriages and funerals. Ordination is appropriate for those who have a substantial preaching/teaching ministry in a church, ecumenical church, mission agency, or educational institution.

Ecumenical Ministers' Conclave

All the Ministers of the Ecumenical Church Worldwide will gathered together as an assembly to decide on the main questions and orientations of the Church, adopt the budget of projects and new priorities. They will also approve the new appointees of the University. During the Minister’s conclave, elections can be organized upon a proposition of the Presiding Bishop and General Overseer.
